Diary - Melbourne 2006

Day 15 (Friday, October 13th, 2006)

Dear diary...

the close of our second week was used for many plans for the weekend with host families. A day in the various schools for presenting German projects and finalising dates ...

day15Friday the 13th is not a concept of an unlucky day in Australia - after all, this is the lucky continent! So, we pretty much kept to our school routines and once again enjoyed the ongoing support and friendship of the hosting students. Most presentations of German subjects went very well and proved an interesting teaching ressource for the German classes.

The network chaperones were treated to a wonderful meal in one of the Yarra Valley Wineries and thanks to the Australian teachers' encouraging feed back hope for a continuation of the exchange programme in the near future. This is the place to extend a warm 'Danke Schoen' to the network leaders Roslyn Brown (Oxley College) and Karin Freeman (Luther College) for their efforts and professional support to make this programme come alive; more is yet to come - Donvale Deutschlehrerin Alison Bradbury has already thought of a few interesting Landeskunde ideas.
